We've all heard...

We hear all around us today...

That's only partially true.
Just because God heals one person of cancer,
doesn't mean he will do the same for you.
That doesn't always mean you lack faith.
His plan for you is different than anyone else.
"God is the same yesterday, today and forever."
But His plan for each one of us is different.

You can't put God in a box,
expecting Him to perform
the same way each time, or on demand.

No amount of seed offerings, prayer vigils
or fasting can change God's plan.

We hear so many times...

"You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss,
that you may spend it on your pleasures." James 4:3

If you believe...

But can you act on it?

Can you give your problems to Jesus
and leave them there?
Or do you drag them back,
clinging to them, in fear?

"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:7-10

I've heard so many people cry out...

God is not the author of confusion.
He brings light into the darkness,
and order into chaos.

Sometimes God is looking for a group of people,
as in a church, a community, or even a country,
to have faith, not just the individual.

"Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens." Hebrews 11:33-34

Whose will is it that you are following?
Your own or God's?
Are you in tune with His word?
Do you know His desire for you?
Do you listen?

"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17

When you study His word, follow His teachings,
obey His commands, and listen with your heart.
That is the beginning, now step out, act in faith.

"Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works." James 2:18

Now, do you think your road
will always be smooth? Your way always clear?
Everything bright and sunny?
I think not! How boring! What would we learn?

"My brethern, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." James 1:2-3

Someone we meet today,
may not get another chance to hear the gospel.
We may not get another chance
to right a wrong that we've done.

The blink of an eye, think about it!

How much time do you have!
